Charles Dana's Gibson Girl

Charles Dana Gibson, 1867-1944, is most well known for his illustrations of beautiful women from the 1890s and early 1900s.

Gibson Girl version of Cynthia Lockley colorized Gibson Girl

This Gibson Girl drawing was colorized by Heikki Luhtala. Heikki did wonderfully creative background images for web pages. He also liked to alter images from other home pages as he did with mine.

(So, why does Cynthia use a drawing instead of a photo of herself?)
